Democrat Presidential candidate Joe Biden’s gaffes are dragging his campaign down, and Democrats are scrambling to defend him.
Many are questioning if Biden has the mental faculties to lead the free world as President, especially with how consistent his stumbles are.
Biden made a rare appearance on Thursday and said, “People don’t have a job, people don’t know where to go, they don’t know what to do. Now we have over 120 million dead from COVID.”
Biden later corrected his statement and shaved the extra zero’s off the death count, but the damage was already done. Biden’s history of gaffes is simply too prevalent.
Democrat Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) attempted to deflect criticism of Biden by pointing out President Trump’s typos in tweets. Coons said, “I think it is awfully rich for him to suggest some of these minor missteps in terms of facts or dates or details that happen to all of us who are elected indicates that Joe Biden is less worthy of the service of the presidency than he is when Trump is intentionally and repeatedly choosing to send out tweets as his official statements that are filled with errors and typos.”
While Coons makes a valiant effort at defending his presidential candidate, most American’s aren’t listening. Trump thrives off his off-the-cuff delivery style while Biden is looking more and more like a candidate for memory care.
