Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden failed to get a significant bounce in the polls after the Democrat National Convention, which could be bad news for his struggling campaign.
In Morning Consult polls just before and after the election, Biden only went from 51% to 52% in approval rating, and President Donald Trump’s approval rating in the same polls remained steady at 43%.
By comparison, Hillary Clinton got a three point bounce from the 2016 convention, from 40% to 43% approval, while Trump dropped four points at the same time, from 44% to 40%.
The poll still had Biden nine points ahead of Trump, but battleground states appear to be tightening in other polls.
