A new Joe Biden campaign ad blames President Donald Trump for Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s (D) decision to cancel football in the state, but state officials say the blame rests squarely with the governor.
Whitmer is the major obstacle to the Big Ten reviving a late fall football season, according to Ohio State’s Jeff Snook.
Michigan High School Athletic Association President Mark Uyl said he was frustrated that private athletic organizations are being allowed to play football while high schools are not.
Trafalgar Group pollster Robert Cahaly said that 63% of undecided voters in Michigan want to see Big 10 football played, and that voters could support Trump, who also wants to see football happen, in a ratio of four to one if people like Whitmer continue to stand in the way.
Time for Democrats like Whitmer to reap what they’ve worked for months to sew. It never ceases to amaze me how their best laid plans do not go the way they expect, because they live in a bubble of their own making and don’t know what the people really think.
