Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden was just busted in a huge college scandal. He never expected this to come up less than 36 days before the November election, and now it could derail his entire campaign.
“I got started out of an HBCU, Delaware State — now, I don’t want to hear anything negative about Delaware State,” said Biden in 2019. According to a representative of the historically black university, however, he never attended classes there.
“Vice President Biden did not attend DSU,” said Carlos Holmes, director of news services for the institution. “However he was the Commencement keynote speaker in 2003 and , and during the former he was awarded an honorary doctoral degree.”
Holmes provided the response to an inquiry from The Washington Times late last week, thereby refuting Biden’s claim outright but trying to make the best of the situation. The former vice president was clearly pandering and lying for votes, but what else is new?
By contrast, President Donald Trump has directly supported HBCUs by signing a bill that would provide about $250 million annually to the institutions. “When I took office, I promised to fight for HBCUs, and my administration continues to deliver,” said Trump in December 2019.
Biden says whatever he feels like he needs to say at any given moment — and now he has been exposed as a fraud for erroneously claiming to attend an HBCU. Trump, on the other hand, backs up his words with action. That is a leader and voters will re-elect him on November 3.
