Top 2020 Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) admitted in a CBS News interview that he doesn’t know how much his proposed Medicare for All plan will cost.
Host Norah O’Donnell asked Sanders whether the price tag of $60 trillion for Medicare for All, free college tuition and student loan forgiveness is accurate.
“You don’t know. Nobody knows. This is impossible to predict,” Sanders responded.
O’Donnell then wondered if Sanders was really going to propose plans to the American people without telling them how much it will cost.
“Of course I will,” Sanders answered. “Do you know exactly what healthcare costs will be…in the next ten years if we do nothing? It will be a lot more expensive than a Medicare-for-all single-payer system.”
