After the first round of Democrat presidential primary debates, frontrunners Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) and Joe Biden saw their support drop significantly, while the Daily Wire pointed out that Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Kamala Harris (D-CA) saw their poll numbers rise.
Sanders was second in the polls before the debates, while Biden was the frontrunner. And while Biden is still ahead, he has seen a 10-point drop since the debates.
Sanders is now fourth, trailing Warren and Harris by just a few points. Harris, Warren and Sanders are all within the poll’s margin of error.
The debates addressed issues like health care, immigration and racism. Harris scored major points for attacking Biden’s ties to previously segregationist senators. And Biden just looked old and tired next to Warren and Harris.
24 candidates are currently vying for the Democrat nomination in 2020, still nearly a year-and-a-half away. Meanwhile, Trump is enjoying some of the highest approval ratings of his presidency.
