A major decision was just made on charges for Attorney General William Barr. Democrats are in complete shock over it.
In a stunning reversal, House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) has withered like a flower after the Justice Department criticized his subpoena and plan to hold Attorney General Barr in contempt.
Chairman Nadler is now “ready to proceed without conditions” and would like to “begin negotiating immediately” on the documents his committee has requested from Mueller’s report.
This means that the vote to hold Barr in concept could also be postponed or even canceled, even though it was scheduled for next week.
Nadler has discovered that he can’t just run over the Trump Administration. They have no issue fighting back, which is exactly what Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd did on behalf of the Justice Department.
In a letter, Boyd said that even Democrats on Nadler’s committee know that the subpoena was “unworkably overbroad” and changes needed to be made. Nadler fixed his attitude real quick.
