A top medical official just suggested that President Donald Trump should go back into isolation, and the announcement has stunned America. Millions of people are waiting to see what happens next.
“No, he should be in isolation,” said Dr. Sanjay Gupta on CNN, referring to Trump’s return to the White House after a brief hospitalization at Walter Reed Medical Center. Gupta, CNN’s chief medical correspondent, told host Chris Cuomo that Trump is putting people “at risk” otherwise.
Of course, we have to come to expect this kind of political gamesmanship from CNN — and, with less than 30 days until the election, it is only going to get crazier. Trump isolating is exactly what they want.
Furthermore, during his remarks, not once did Gupta mention Trump’s incredible recovery, which is being attributed to an experimental antibody cocktail called Regeneron — a drug Trump wants to make available immediately.
Gupta also isn’t listening to Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Conley, who has reported that there are no signs of the virus in his body anymore. The president is doing extremely well.
This isn’t enough for Gupta or Cuomo, however. “He, obviously, shouldn’t be in the office,” Gupta continued. He also accused the White House of basically holding a “super-spreader type of event.”
