Democrat vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris (D-CA) made a bizarre comment about deceased rapper Tupac. During an interview with CNN, Harris said Tupac was the “best rapper alive,” sparking a wave of reactions.
When commentator Angela Rye corrected Harris by pointing out that Tupac was indeed deceased, Harris responded saying, “I keep doing that, Um, who would I say? I mean, there’s so many. I mean, you know, I — there are some that I, I, I would not mention right now, because they should stay in their lane, but, um, others, I… go on. Keep moving.”
Harris clearly is in the know about the rap game and knows a lot of rappers. After all, Harris was listening to Snoop Dogg in the ’80s when she was in college despite the fact that Snoop Dogg wouldn’t release an album until the ’90s.
Harris is supposed to bring hip youth to an aging and stagnant Biden campaign, but she’s failing badly. The reality is that Kamala Harris is hip in the most superficial ways possible.
It is cringe-worthy listening to politicians try and persuade normal people that they are just like them. Maybe Harris should stay in her lane and try to be authentic for once in her life.
