The news just dropped about an election ‘reversal’ in Arizona. Republicans are stunned — they never expected this to happen at the eleventh hour.
“Arizona GOP Chairwoman Dr. Kelli Ward said that the state GOP is weighing its options after the state Supreme Court knocked down their election challenge,” reported Breitbart News.
“We’re preparing about what to do next,” said Ward. “Are we going to go to the Supreme Court of the United States? Maybe.” Some believe this non-committal approach could mean the GOP is backing down, but perhaps not.
While the Pennsylvania lawsuit — which was not brought by Trump’s team — was rejected by the U.S. Supreme Court, there is another case that many are looking towards now. Texas’ lawsuit could be the next big fight.
Earlier this week, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) filed a challenge to the constitutionality of the election results in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. It wasn’t long before he received substantial backup.
“Missouri on Wednesday led a group of 17 states in filing a brief that supported the Texas lawsuit, reported Fox News. This is likely the last stand. All eyes are on the Supreme Court and everything is on the line.
