New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) could be going down. New Yorkers are in total shock — the political war has really come to blows.
“Do you believe the governor and his response to these allegations?” asked a reporter to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. “Do you think what he is saying is credible at this point?” De Blasio’s response was telling.
“No,” he said bluntly. The mayor of the most populated city in the United States has stepped up his criticism of Cuomo lately, resulting in many to speculate that he may launch a primary challenge against the embattled governor.
Cuomo is facing allegations on two fronts: First, his disastrous handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in which, among other things, he covered-up nursing home deaths in order to avoid a federal investigation.
Secondly, at least three former aides have made sexual harassment allegations against the governor. One woman, Ana Liss, who worked for Cuomo “between 2013 and 2015” (via Breitbart News) recounted her experience.
According to Breitbart, Liss has alleged that Cuomo “allegedly called her ‘sweetheart,’ kissed her hand once, and asked personal questions such as if she had a boyfriend.” It is likely only a matter of time before he resigns.
