New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s approval, favorable ratings and reelection numbers have significantly dropped over the last few months as calls to resign over corruption and sexual misconduct allegations have grown.
Only 40% of New Yorkers have a favorable opinion of the three term governor in a new poll, while 52% disapprove.
Cuomo’s approve to disapprove percentages were 43%-45% in March and 56%-39% in February.
New Yorkers don’t think Cuomo should resign, however, by a 51-37% margin. 52% think he can do his job effectively despite the scandals, while 38% think he cannot.
More voters think Cuomo did sexually harass staffers, with 44% saying they think he did and 22% thinking he didn’t.
