Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA) just made a dastardly move. The anti-Trump chairman of the House Intelligence Committee has rocked the nation — this is unreal.
Appearing on MSNBC, Schiff responded to a question on whether he would subpoena former National Security Adviser John Bolton. “We haven’t taken that off the table,” he said.
Of course, he also attempted to moderate his comment. “I think what makes the most sense, though, is for him to testify in the Senate trial,” he continued, but it obvious what he is doing here.
Schiff has lost influence now that focus has shifted to the upcoming Senate trial, which Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) intends to take up as soon as possible.
Since Bolton has already signaled his willingness to testify if he is subpoenaed, Schiff is lobbing nothing more than an idle threat to remain part of the discussion. But he isn’t relevant anymore.
As Pelosi’s puppet, Schiff ran impeachment proceedings against President Trump unfairly and dishonestly. Now that the trial portion is set to take place, he will just have to sit back and squirm.
