Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was just completely humiliated. The House Intelligence Committee chairman, known for pushing an anti-Trump agenda, has been embarrassed in front of millions.
On a recent airing of the popular and long-running TV show, Jeopardy, Schiff’s photo was shown as a clue under the category “U.S. Representatives” — and not a single contestant could name him.
The $1,200 clue was even tipped off with Trebek saying “One-fifty-third of California’s House delegation is this House Intelligence Committee chairman,” but the room was silent.
Trebek then chimed in, “His name is Adam Schiff.” It would appear that even on Jeopardy — which is typically full of smart, well-educated contestants — Schiff was like a phantom.
David Hookstead, a journalist for The Daily Caller, tweeted the video and it has now been retweeted (i.e. shared) nearly 3,000 times. This must have been humiliating for Schiff.
Politicians like Schiff thrive on the notion of their own self-importance; they assume everyone knows who they are. Unfortunately for the California representative, he’s just another name in a crowded room.
