Over the weekend in Lori Lightfoot’s Democrat-run Chicago, 21 people were shot and seven died.
The shootings continue a long-running pattern that has developed in the city, where gang members outnumber police 10 to 1 but are clustered in certain neighborhoods around the city.
Two of the fatalities occurred after arguments while four others were discovered by police after the shooting had occurred and the victim was already dead.
One was a drive-by shooting where the gunman drove up and shot someone who was sitting in their parked car.
The shootings took place between Friday afternoon and Sunday evening in the city.
