Ousted Republican Conference Leader Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) hinted during an interview on ABC over the weekend that a 2024 presidential bid is not out of the question.
Cheney has predictably become a media darling on the left for repeatedly denouncing former President Donald Trump after the 2020 presidential election until she got kicked out of her number three leadership position in the House.
After the interviewer badgered her for a few minutes about whether she was going to run, Cheney admitted her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, wanted her to run for president, but she was focused on getting re-elected in Wyoming.
“He’s not so objective,” she said.
Her re-election is not a done deal, especially considering her recent censure by the state legislature for voting in January to impeach Trump after the January 6 riot.
