Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) has sent a letter to Attorney General William Barr demanding that Jeffrey Epstein’s 2008 plea agreement be invalidated so that co-conspirators can be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, the Washington Examiner reported.
“In order to bring Epstein’s co-conspirators to justice, the Department of Justice should rip up the non-prosecution, non-investigation agreement entered into by Epstein and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida in 2008,” Sasse wrote.
Sasse is dead set on exposing all of Epstein’s co-conspirators. He asked the DOJ to confirm that Epstein’s original deal is off the table now.
By every indication, Barr wants the same thing as Sasse. He declared that co-conspirators were not safe just because Epstein was dead.
It could be a bumpy ride for a lot of powerful Democrats.
