Attorney General William Barr just made it official, and Robert Mueller is freaking out. Barr has beaten the anti-Trump narrative again.
During an interview on CBS This Morning, host Jan Crawford asked Barr about “the criticism… that you’re protecting the president that you’re enabling the president, what’s your response to that?”
Barr didn’t skip a beat a rightly blamed our “hyper-partisan age where people no longer really pay attention to the substance of what’s said.”
“I’m going to make the decisions based on the law and the facts,” continued Barr, who denounced “the political climate we live in because people are more interested in getting their way politically.”
Barr’s words must sting Mueller, the hyper-partisan hitman who spent the entire first half of Trump’s presidency trying to take him down. It’s a stark contrast.
On one hand, you have Barr — a public servant committed to fairness under the law. Then you have Mueller, who is a hand-picked lackey of James Comey and the Democratic Party.
