Representative Darrell Issa, a Republican from California, called the military’s religious accommodation process for the COVID vaccine mandate a “sham” after it was revealed to him that only three Marines had their requests approved, and those three were already leaving the service.
So this means, essentially, there is NO religious accommodation process.
“The Biden military vaccine mandate is crushing troop morale, ending careers of honor, and destroying lives of service. Now we are learning that the process by which service members of faith seek access to religious accommodations from the vaccine mandate is a sham,” Issa said in a statement on February 10.
So far, almost 1,000 service members have been discharged for not complying with the vaccine mandate. The rumor is, tens of thousands more are soon to follow.
Donald J. Trump has made it known that when Republicans regain control of the House, it will be imperative that they quickly introduce a bill to reinstate discharged service members and “prohibit adverse action against still-serving service members who are unvaccinated.”
