Just because Biden’s from Delaware doesn’t mean he always gets his way in the first state in the union, even if there’s still a Democrat in charge.
Governor John Carney announced on February 7 that there will be NO MORE indoor mask mandates in the home state of Joe Biden.
According to Carney, the law that requires those age 5 and up wear a mask regardless of vaccine status will be abolished on Friday, February 11.
Similarly, the state’s mask mandate for schools will end on March 31, 2022.
The state’s website justified the long wait for the removal of the school mask mandate by saying that the extra time “gives parents time to get their school-age children vaccinated before the expiration of the statewide requirement.”
Giving Americans more reason to cheer, the Governor of New Jersey decided to follow in Carney’s footsteps. Democrat Phil Murphy confirmed on Monday that he will lift New Jersey’s school mask mandate in March.
