Former congressman and newly-minted presidential candidate, Beto O’Rourke, has had a rough start to his campaign. In addition to multiple controversies, such as his past arrest for drunk driving, he’s now been accused of disturbing acts.
Reportedly, O’Rourke enjoys subjecting his family — particularly his wife — to pranks. But the pranks have ranged from terrifying to cruel, including shower scares mimicking the movie ‘Psycho’ and passing off a child’s poop as an avocado.
This isn’t the first time O’Rourke’s seemingly odd relationship with his wife has made headlines. Even the failing New York Times recently wrote a piece entitled, “In Beto O’Rourke’s Announcement, His Wife’s Silence Stands Out”.
The article centered around the fact that O’Rourke’s campaign announcement video lasted over three minutes and his wife just sat there, never being asked to share a word of support. It has compelled many to wonder what kind of role she actually plays.
O’Rourke’s struggling candidacy may be over before it really started if he doesn’t find a way to effectively deal with scandals and the spotlight on his family life. The sooner he drops out the better; he’s an Obama-style trojan horse.
Thankfully, at least one group is working hard to keep the pressure on O’Rourke. The Club for Growth is currently running an ad in Iowa that highlights his drunk-driving arrest and many other controversies to show people he’s a total fraud.
