Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, the self-described ‘democratic socialist,’ became a household name during the 2016 election, and this shocking video will only make him more infamous.
“You know, it’s funny, sometimes American journalists talk about how bad a country is because people are lining up for food. That’s a good thing. In other countries, people don’t line up for food. The rich get the food and the poor starve to death,” said Sanders, praising the idea of breadlines.
For context, Sanders is answering an interview question about his view on breadlines in Nicaragua, which precipitated his historically ignorant diatribe in response. The video is reportedly from the 1980s and it hasn’t aged well.
Lining up for food on a daily basis it is not a sign of health. Communism intentionally punishes wealth creation to achieve “equality” and the only ones who end up rich are those in government power. Capitalism is the only system proven to lift all boats.
Alas, nothing has changed from Sanders since this interview. He is still an anti-capitalist, anti-American shill, who has hypocritically benefited from capitalism and America while pushing for his brand of socialism.
As a refresher, Sanders, a presidential candidate once again, owns at least three houses and has been caught spending $300,000 on private jets to spread his Marxist message nationwide. Americans will never “Feel the Bern”.
