Democrats have gone ballistic at Attorney General Bill Barr after he jokingly commented that returning to the Department of Justice was like parachuting into Normandy on D-Day.
Fox News reports:
“As we’ve been watching the coverage of June 6, 1944 D-Day, I had the thought that my arrival this time felt a little bit, I think, like jumping into Sainte-Mère-Église on the morning of June 5, trying to figure out where you could land without getting shot,”
In the least surprising twist in history, Democrats went nuts.
“Shortly after Barr’s comments circulated the internet, social media users jumped at the chance to ridicule and condemn the attorney general for comparing himself to the Allied troops of D-Day, who landed in Normandy in 1944 in a significant step toward liberating France from Nazi occupation.”
What the Democrats missed is that Barr was simply joking. The outrage machine never sleeps, and they have a particular interest in taking down Barr by any means possible.
Bill Barr is one of the strongest attorney generals the nation has ever had, and he will not be phased by the howls of the Democrat mob. Good for him.
