Several local police departments in Florida have collaborated to put a dent into the human trafficking business in the Southeast. Operation No Tricks, No Treats netted 277 arrests in Polk County, FL last week, including a police officer who was caught soliciting prostitution.
The operation, carried out over five days last week, was a joint effort between five departments in Polk County. Over 200 of those arrested tried to solicit sex from an undercover detective posing as a prostitute; 51 of the arrests were of people who were advertising themselves as prostitutes.
According to the Global Slavery Index, over 45 million people are affected by human trafficking around the world today. This is horrible. It’s refreshing to see Florida police uniting in an effort to end this problem once and for all. (Watch Here…)
The Senate has opened a probe into the sale of U.S. uranium to a Russian company — and the Clinton family’s involvement in that sale. The probe comes after recent reports show that Russian officials in the company were under criminal investigation by the Justice Department even before the U.S. approved the deal.
The Clinton Foundation received millions from “interested parties” at the time of the deal, in which the state-owned Russian company was granted approval by the Obama administration — including then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Court filings show that the FBI admitted that they were aware of the bribery case but didn’t bring charges “for nearly four more years, leaving the American public and Congress in the dark about Russian nuclear corruption on U.S. soil.”
Surprise. Hillary is involved in yet another pay-to-play scandal. Only time will tell what comes of these accusations, but we can be sure that there is more to this story than meets the eye. Hillary and Obama must be held accountable. (Read More…)
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) added three words to a draft of its new strategic plan. The plan now affirms that human life “begins at conception.” This overturns another Obama policy – abortion on demand.
In addition to affirming life at conception, the draft states the department seeks to “protect women and their unborn children from harm and harmful exposures during pregnancy.” This is a huge win for the pro-life movement.
Of course, extremist liberal writers like Ellie Shechet at Jezebel lost it upon hearing of the HHS draft; Shechet herself wrote, “it certainly is a [censored] doozy.” Such a classy response. (Read More…)
It’s been months since the slanderous “Steele Dossier” was compiled by political research firm Fusion GPS in a crude attempt to smear President Trump. Trump’s insightful question in regards to the slanderous, debunked dossier— “Who paid for it, Russia, the FBI or the Dems (or all)?” — shows that he suspects the FBI had a hand in funding the dossier.
The real question is whether or not the FBI and the Obama Justice Department helped pay for the damaging data. Former MI6 agent Christopher Steele has “pleaded the fifth” and refused to respond to subpoenas to answer those very questions.
But an April report from The New York Times alleged that the FBI offered Fusion GPS $50,000 if they could find evidence of Russian collusion that would stick. Is the Steele dossier the result?
If President Obama used the power of a federal law enforcement agency to sabotage a political opponent, and that agency went along with the plan, it will have been the most dangerous assault on the American system of constitutional government since the Civil War. We need answers, and we need them now.(Read More…)
Democrat Representative Maxine Waters’ campaign is carrying over $100,000 in debt. And the majority of that debt, $88,000, is owed to her daughter, Karen Waters. Karen Waters has made hundreds of thousands of dollars for her work on a slate mailer for Citizens for Waters, Rep. Waters’ campaign group.
Candidates in California have paid in upwards of $45,000 to be included in the mailer, which has earned Karen Waters’ firm $354,500 since 2004. Even with the massive debt owed by the committee to her firm, Maxine Waters’ campaign committee and her daughter Karen’s firm will likely continue to produce hundreds of thousands for the Waters family.
Money in politics has always been a concern for both parties. But when the corruption and nepotism is as obvious as it is here, you would hope that the voters would say “enough.” She can’t get away with this can she? (Read More…)
Talk show host Oprah Winfrey opened up on Wednesday to discuss the “silver lining” to the growing cloud of sexual abuse complaints in Hollywood, saying, “I think those days are about to be over.”
Winfrey argued tht this moment should be used to empower women everywhere, saying, “If we make this just about Harvey Weinstein, then we will have lost this [watershed] moment.” She stated that the problem of sexual harassment and assault isn’t limited to Weinstein and it’s bigger than Hollywood — it’s widespread.
She is right. There is an epidemic of sexual harassment in modern American culture, and victim’s voices have been ignored for too long. It’s time to hold predators accountable to the fullest extent of the law. (Watch Here…)
