Representative Madeleine Dean, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, has left at least a slice of her fans heartbroken.
Dean revealed to voters: “After talking a lot with my family, with my team with my political side, I’ve decided I won’t be running for Senate for now.”
This leaves Val Arkoosh as the only democratic female still gunning for the seat, but it’s been Connor Lamb that has been most active trying to capitalize on the news. As Breitbart reports: ” Last month, Lamb allegedly told some of his donors to start contributing to the campaign as he will start to ramp up his fundraising and have a formal launch.”
Perhaps money was the big factor here, as the $575,000 Dean has in her campaign account does not appear to be enough to buy the open seat in such a crowded race.
Dean hasn’t written off a future run, and plans to remain in the House of Representatives to “continue working on fighting gun violence, opioid addiction, and climate change.”
