For those hoping for a Christmas miracle, you’re going to have to keep waiting until next year. The streets of Chicago run red with the blood of its citizens, with zero break to honor the birth of our Lord and Savior.
On December 23 alone, 12 people were shot in the city of Chicago. One, a 58-year-old man, has already succumbed to his injuries.
The man was found by police “in the 5500 block of South Emerald Avenue” and immediately taken to a hospital, but he did not survive his wounds.
Elsewhere in the city, that same day, gunfire erupted at one of the city’s busiest shopping malls, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Mayor Lori Lightfoot has remained silent about the recent shootings, nor has she addressed whether or not she will soon remove the liberal policies that have turned Chicago neighborhoods into warzones.
