Former Senator Ben Nelson, A Democrat from Nebraska, was once called the “last man standing” for holding off on putting his signature on the 2009 Obamacare bill for as long as he could.
Now, he’s publishing a book.
It’s called, Death of the Senate: My Front Row Seat to the Demise of the World’s Greatest Deliberative Body.
That’s right, a democrat has official declared death to our Senate.
He dates the end of bipartisanship around the time of Obama’s massive bailout plan following the 2008 American economic collapse. Since then, we’ve only seen candidates that are more extreme than previous nominees. Think about it, can you imagine Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s nonsense flying 20, let alone 50 years ago?
“Extremes can’t lead,” Nelson said. “They can disturb, they can win, but they can’t lead the country.”
