The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a gun rights case that could potentially lead to more guns on the streets of New York and Los Angeles.
The justices will hear the case as gun violence in metropolitan areas has surged, and could dramatically increase the amount of people who are allowed to carry firearms as they go about their daily lives.
Gun grabbers insist that if a high court requires cities to drop their intense restrictions on guns, the result will be more violence. Gun rights groups say that the increased violence is exactly why normal people need protection now more than ever.
The Supreme Court currently sits at a 6-3 conservative majority, which is the best hope for fans of the Second Amendment. It isn’t necessarily a slam-dunk case though, as a few conservatives have been straying from party lines recently.
Jason Lowy, chief counsel at the gun control group Brady, said it best: “The stakes could not be higher.”
