An enemy of President Trump’s was just fired after nearly three decades and she has publicly blamed him. She is absolutely furious — her statement on social media says it all.
“Because Trump ridiculed my reputation, laughed at my looks, & dragged me through the mud, after 26 years, ELLE fired me,” said E. Jean Carroll, a longtime columnist for Elle Magazine.
“I don’t blame Elle,” continued Carroll on Twitter. “It was the great honor of my life writing ‘Ask E. Jean.’ I blame @realdonaldtrump.” By tagging Trump, she was clearly trying to provoke a response.
Carroll definitely got one, but not from Trump. Twitter user @commonsense258 said, “I don’t think Trump is why you got fired. Your crazy interviews probably did the trick.”
Other comments poured in disputing Carroll’s claim as well, but plenty of far-left pseudo-celebrities chimed in as well and called for a boycott of the magazine, which was founded in 1942.
According to the Washington Times, Carroll “came forward in June and accused Trump of raping her nearly 25 years ago” and wrote about it in a recent book.
