Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) just finally got what she deserves. The longtime California politician has been exposed as a hypocrite — saying one thing and doing exactly the other. She is a typical Democrat.
It was December of 1998 and lawmakers were debating articles of impeachment on then-President Bill Clinton. She called the effort “a Republican coup d’etat” from the House floor, an ironic claim since she supports impeaching our current president.
Waters also said during a press conference that Clinton did not have any “impeachable offenses” and claimed his political opponents were “still in search of some way to make the Americans people believe that this president should be impeached.”
Once again, Waters outed herself — she provided political cover for her party’s president, even though she called it a “coup,” yet she refuses to show the same deference to Trump who has committed zero impeachable offenses.
In fact, one could argue that more evidence existed for impeachment Clinton; it was proven that he lied under oath. But that is neither here nor there now. What is important to recognize is Waters’ double-standard and blind partisanship.
It ia also worth noting how she tried to hide behind our brave men and women in uniform. “Mr. Speaker, how must American soldiers feel to have their Commander in Chief under attack while they are engaged in combat?” she asked in 1998.
