A criminal indictment just rocked Fox News. The news is spreading like wildfire nationwide, and millions of Americans are stunned. This came out of nowhere.
Responding to new charges being announced against actor Jussie Smollett, Fox News’ Dana Perino said, “I don’t understand why it took this long,” but she’s glad the police “fought back.”
Smollet is now facing “six new felony criminal charges,” even though the original charges against him were dropped back in March of 2019 — nearly a year ago.
However, Smollett stands accused of the same thing: He allegedly staged a racist and homophobic hate-crime against himself and then lied to police about it. He even tried to pull Trump supporters into it.
Smollett said one of the attackers — the one he identified as white — told him that he was in “MAGA country” while carrying out the assault. It is a cause that has captured the attention of the entire nation.
Ultimately, however, it would’ve been better for Smollett to just fess up. “He should have just apologized at the beginning,” said Perino. “Then he might have been in this situation.”
