Bribery charges just dropped. Congress has been rocked by this news, and there’s no telling what will happen next. Washington, DC, is in an uproar as both sides of the political aisle trade jabs.
According to Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, an anti-Trump Democrat from New York, “direct evidence” is on the way that will support the impeachment witch-hunt against the president. He made the announcement on CNN.
Maloney said the evidence will be “added to what’s already been made public that the president of the United States used taxpayer-funded military assistance to pressure a foreign leader to help him in his re-election campaign.”
“That is soliciting a bribe, and that is an impeachable offense listed in the Constitution,” Maloney continued. Unfortunately for Democrats, however, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) has already addressed this matter outright.
In a letter to Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Devin Nunes (R-CA), Johnson, who chairs the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, gave a firsthand account of a discussion he had with Trump.
