Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) suggested congressional Democrats know what President Trump’s declassification of FBI documents will reveal — and they’re panicking.
Trump is expected to declassify materials pertinent to Attorney General Bill Barr’s investigation into how the FBI spied on the Trump presidential campaign and pushed a false narrative of illegal collusion with Russia.
Meadows framed the declassification as an important part of Republicans’ “search for the truth” and predicted that Trump’s accusers will be exposed as the true villains.
“There is information coming that will curl your hair,” Meadows said.
“I can tell you that the reason why it is so visceral — the response from the Democrats is so visceral right now — is because they know, they’ve seen the documents.”
“[House Intelligence Committee chairman] Adam Schiff has seen documents that he knows will actually put the finger pointing back at him and his Democrat colleagues, not the President of the United States.”
