Fox News digital politics editor Chris Stirewalt said Friday that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) was the “great bust” of the 2020 election cycle in respose to her interaction with a father who didn’t like her plan to forgive student loans if elected.
“Elizabeth Warren is one of many Democrats who misjudged what the Democratic electorate looks like because they spend too much time on Twitter and think that ‘woke’ activism is where it’s at,” Stirewalt said on The Story with Martha MacCallum Friday.
The father confronted Warren, telling her that her loan forgiveness plan would “screw” parents who were responsible and saved for their children’s college education.
“Am I going to get my money back?” he asked Warren, who he later said laughed at him.
“Her almost contemptuous attitude toward him, the disdain, the mockery, almost that she treats this person with, tells you why she has never lived up to the hype that was created for her by the political press,” Stirewalt said.
