Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was finally caught red-handed, and she’s now in hot water for misappropriation of campaign funds.
News broke recently that Ocasio-Cortez had hired her boyfriend, Riley Roberts onto her congressional staff. She denied the rumors, but the Coolidge-Reagan foundation just found evidence that she did pay him for “consulting” services.
Evidence shows that Ocasio-Cortez paid the Brand New Congress PAC $6,191.32 for ‘strategic consulting.’ Brand New Congress turned around and funneled that money to Riley Roberts for his role as a “marketing consultant.”
The Coolidge-Reagan foundation filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission. The lawyer that filed the complaint said that “It’s not illegal for [Ocasio-Cortez] to pay her boyfriend, but it appears that they created some sort of scheme to avoid claiming the money [as a campaign expense]. What exactly did he do for that money?”
Ocasio-Cortez sniped back, accusing “the conspiracy machine” for coming up with the charges. She dismissed the allegations, saying “no, I don’t shadily pay my boyfriend.”
The complaint filed by the Coolidge-Reagan foundation “respectfully requests the Federal Election Commission commence enforcement proceedings.” AOC just defiantly declared that she’s “the boss.” As the boss, she’s got some answering to do.
