Tragic News For Joe Lieberman – He Didn’t Deserve This
Former U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman, who left the Senate in 2013 after nearly 25 years of service to Connecticut, just received some tragic news. He didn’t deserve this at all.
On the current state of the Democratic Party, Lieberman said that it’s “not the Democratic Party I came into when John. F Kennedy was president” and called out Rep. Ilhan Omar’s recent comments as “blatantly anti-Semitic.”
Readers likely remember that Lieberman, a devout Jew, came to blows with his own party over issues like supporting Israel, national security, and the American economic system. Now the “loudest voices” are running the Democratic Party.
He said, “Our economic system has worked for most of the American people. It’s working for most of the American people today. Unemployment is at a very low level,” something socialists like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez fail to understand.
“The government simply cannot afford everything they’re promising. … Who’s going to pay for it? You can’t get enough money out of the top one percent to pay for this. It’s going to be the middle class,” he continued.
It is deeply sad to watch Lieberman lament just how low his former party has stooped. Instead of embracing the tested ideas of JFK, the Democratic Party has become a radical place for anti-American, anti-Semitic politicians to thrive unchecked.
