Tragedy Just Struck America – Trump Has Been Notified

April 1, 2019

A major tragedy just hit our brave men and women in uniform, and President Trump has been notified about the shocking incident. This is a devastating day for America and our military.

According to multiple reports, two U.S. Marines crashed their AH-1Z Viper helicopter during a training exercise near Yuma, Arizona, and both pilots were killed in the accident. The Marine Corps released a statement confirming the terrible news.

“The cause of the crash is currently under investigation,” said their release. “The names of the deceased will be withheld until 24 hours after next-of-kin notification. Updates will be provided as information becomes available.”

Responding to the incident, U.S. Senator Martha McSally of Arizona posted a story about the crash and tweeted, “Absolutely tragic. My heart breaks for these Marines and their families.” McSally is a combat veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

With very few details at this point and the pilots’ names currently being withheld, the White House has not released an official statement yet. This is standard procedure when sensitive incidents involving our military are being investigated.

However, the Department of Defense retweeted a tweet from the U.S. Marines that said, “Our condolences go out to the families and friends of our two pilots who we lost last night in Yuma, Az. We ask that you please respect them during this time.”
