Playboy senior White House reporter and CNN contributor Brian Karem said that his press pass was suspended for 30 days after he got into an argument with Sebastian Gorka at a press event and described attendees at a Trump press event as a “group of people that are eager for demonic possession.”
Karem also asked Gorka if he wanted to go outside and have a “long conversation” about the situation. “You’re a punk, you’re not a journalist, you’re a punk,” Gorka yelled at Karem, who responded by urging Gorka to “get a job.”
“Thank you @realDonaldTrump, thank you @PressSec,” Gorka tweeted to the president and White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham. “On behalf of Americans who’ve had enough of FakeNews punks like @BrianKarem.”
Karem said he would appeal the suspension.
The White House previously suspended CNN reporter Jim Acosta’s press pass “until further notice” after he tried to argue with the President, but a federal judge ordered that the press pass be restored.
