On Saturday in Keene, New Hampshire, former vice president and Democrat 2020 presidential frontrunner Joe Biden commented that he liked the “beauty” of “Vermont,” getting the state he was in completely wrong, a Daily Wire video showed.
“What’s not to like about Vermont in terms of the beauty of it?” Biden said, although he was in New Hampshire. “And what a neat town. I mean this is sort of a scenic, beautiful town … everybody has been really friendly. I like Keene a lot.”
The gaffe led Fox News host Brit Hume to speculate that Biden might be having memory loss indicating senility. No medical diagnosis of Biden has yet been made.
But the newest gaffe adds to a growing list, including getting the decade of Martin Luther King Jr. and John F. Kennedy’s assassinations wrong and insisting that 40 students died at Kent State rather than 4.
Biden still has 15 months of campaigning to go. He will be 78 by the time he would take office, if elected, which would make him the oldest U.S. president in history when starting his first term.
