Senate Says ‘YES’ To Trump – It Was UNANIMOUS
Some good news from the Senate for a change. The Senate unanimously approved Trump’s nominee for Assistant Secretary for Fish, Wildlife and Parks.
Three years into Trump’s presidency and Congress has been so slow in voting on nominees that we are still filling government positions.
The Hill reports:
“The Senate late Thursday night approved a Trump Interior Department nominee [Rob Wallace] that has proven popular with Democrats and Republicans.”
Both parties seemed to approve of Wallace, which is a rare example of bipartisanship in Washington. Wallace has collected ringing endorsements; Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) was especially supportive.
The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports Barraso as saying:
“I am so pleased the Senate has unanimously confirmed Wyoming’s Rob Wallace for the position of assistant secretary for Fish, Wildlife and Parks. I have known Rob for more than 35 years. He will do an outstanding job. He has worked to conserve wildlife and protect our national parks in both Wyoming and Washington. Rob has the right experience and real commitment to serve in this important role.”
We look forward to seeing how Wallace will do in his new job. We wish him the best of luck in leading conservation efforts and maintaining our national parks.
