Secret Service Rush In, Just As Donald Trump…
President Trump has been subjected to more than a few dangerous situations over the past two years. Thankfully, our Secret Service has kept him and his family safe. But this recent incident sounded like a very close call.
While Trump was in Florida for a brief visit, a suspicious woman with four cell phones, a laptop, and a thumb drive containing malware — malicious software used to hack computers — was arrested by the Secret Service at Mar-a-Lago. She was a Chinese national.
The woman, Yujing Zhang, reportedly lied her way into the exclusive club. She claimed to be a member who wanted to use the pool and produced two passports, however, she soon changed her story and it wasn’t long before the Secret Service acted.
“While the Secret Service does not determine who is permitted to enter the club, our agents and officers conduct physical screenings to ensure no prohibited items are allowed onto the property,” said a Secret Service spokesperson.
The statement continued: “This access does not afford an individual proximity to the President or other Secret Service protectees. In such instances, additional screening and security measures are employed.”
“So had she not screwed up her cover story … Who knows how long she would have been able to stay in Mar-a-Lago or if she would have gained access to the business room computers, etc.” said Twitter user Laura Walker.
