Reports that Robert Mueller’s witch hunt against President Trump is coming to a close have dominated the news for several days, but a bombshell revelation has complicated this narrative.
“The special counsel or the Justice Department — which is really running the special counsel, you can’t separate the two — are going to be harassing this president as long and he’s president,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton in an interview with Lou Dobbs on Fox Business.
Fitton pointed to the recent news that Mueller’s team has sent a subpoena to the Trump inaugural committee. As such, while he hopes the investigation will wrap up soon, he’s convinced that “any report is going to be an interim report” and this entire charade will continue unabated.
In fact, due to special counsel Mueller having a stranglehold on the Justice Department and Congress being afraid to put him in check, there’s little accountable at all. Right now, he said, “the only oversight out there” is simply “Judicial Watch suing for records in court.”
