Lindsey Graham Emergency Announcement – This Just In

February 25, 2019

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) just sounded the alarm about President Trump’s emergency declaration, and Americans need to watch this closely.

According to Graham, a “handful” of Republicans in the Senate will vote for a Democrat-led resolution to block Trump’s declaration, though he isn’t sure how many yet. He is standing by Trump and will “absolutely not” support it.

Should the resolution make it to Trump’s desk, he may choose to exercise his veto option for the first time since becoming president. Graham believes there will be enough votes to uphold Trump’s veto, even with some GOP members peeling off.

“I hope Republicans will not reward this, frankly,” said Graham, who strongly asserts that Democrats are against the president’s emergency plan to fund the border wall because “they just hate Trump.”

With a resolution expected to drop in the House in this week, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said one will reach the Senate floor “soon.” Hypothetically, if all 47 Democrats stick together, they will need four Republicans to join them.

One GOP senator has already signaled how she plans to vote. The resolution “will come before the Senate for a vote, and if it’s a clean disapproval resolution, I will support it,” said Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine).
