Kellyanne Conway Responds – Accusation Was True
Kellyanne Conway, the White House counselor to the President, confirmed in a recent interview the details of an assault she allegedly suffered while out with her teenage daughter late last year.
Conway accused a Maryland woman, since identified as 63-year-old Mary Elizabeth Inabinett, of verbally and physically attacking her without provocation at a Mexican restaurant in the DC suburb of Bethesda.
“Somebody was grabbing me from behind, grabbing my arms, and was shaking me,” Conway said. “She was out of control. I don’t even know how to explain her to you. She was just, her whole face was terror and anger. She was right here, and my daughter was right there. She ought to pay for that.”
Police charged Inabinett with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct for the attack, which was described as politically motivated. Conway’s daughter video recorded the encounter, and Conway herself positively identified Inabinett at the local police station in November.
