Ilhan Omar Treason Decision – Guilty, Guilty, Guilty

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) just served up a heaping helping of political fodder for her many critics who already doubt the Somali-born Muslim’s loyalty to the United States.

Omar’s latest faux pas occurred at a D.C. town hall meeting, where she compared President Trump to Venezuela’s murderous dictator, Nicolas Maduro.

The devil was in the details of Omar’s “golden rule” argument that, just as the U.S. would not accept foreign intrusion into an American election, the U.S. should not intervene in Venezuela’s constitutional crisis.

“None of us are happy with the kind of president we have,” the first-term congresswoman said. “Now if a foreign country just said, ‘Well, we think because Hillary got lots of votes, we’re just going to acknowledge Hillary as the leader of the United States.’ We would have a problem with that.”

In making this comparison, Omar failed to recognize the mile-wide difference between a legitimate U.S. election and Maduro’s illegal reign of terror.

“We govern with the Constitution, so we should be in the business of allowing people to govern within their constitution,” she said, ignoring the fact that Maduro’s presidency violates his country’s constitution, while she portrayed our own Constitution as a burdensome drudgery.
