Fox Just Fired Him – Trump Fans Shocked
Now that actor Jussie Smollet has moved from victim to alleged perpetrator of his own hate crime assault, it’s not just the police who have turned against him. Hollywood may not want him either.
Smollett has been pulled from the last two episodes of the hit Fox TV series Empire‘s fifth season. It seems the actor’s alleged ploy to get attention and boost his salary has backfired in a major way, making him too toxic to even appear on the show.
After Smollett’s arrest, the show’s executive producers released a statement:
“The events of the past few weeks have been incredibly emotional for all of us. Jussie has been an important member of our Empire family for the past five years and we care about him deeply,” Empire‘s executive producers’s statement read. “We are also aware of the effects of this process on the cast and crew members who work on our show and to avoid further disruption on set, we have decided to remove the role of Jamal from the final two episodes of the season.”
While the statement stops short of announcing Smollett’s termination, his removal from season five is a strong indication he won’t be coming back. Nobody wants to share the screen with him now that half of TV viewers resent him for smearing Trump voters as murderous thugs, while the other half resent him for hoodwinking them with his lie.
