White House Deputy Press Secretary Lindsey Walters just announced that she is resigning from her position. She made the decision in order to begin a position at Edelman Public Relations.
Walters has been a part of the Trump administration since day one of the presidency. She released a statement that “It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the president in this administration.”
According to Bloomberg, “Walters said it was “time for a change” and that she was excited by the opportunity at Edelman.”
President Trump’s administration has been undergoing major upheaval, but Walters leaves with no bad blood. White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney stated that she “helped us thrive every day and her steadfastness is matchless.”
