BREAKING: Kavanaugh REVERSAL Announced – Media Stunned
A former high school classmate of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh has sued HuffPost for defamation for a report they published about Kavanaugh and himself during the confirmation process, the Daily Wire reported.
Derrick Evans, now an African American professor from Gulfport, Mississippi who went to Georgetown Prep with Kavanaugh after earning a full scholarship to the school, accused writer Ashley Feinberg of repeatedly publishing “false and defamatory” statements about him and a friend in September 2018 as the confirmation process unfolded.
Numerous accusers came forward to accuse Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct against them, but none of the accusations were corroborated by any evidence or even eyewitness testimony.
The report that led to the suit was titled, “Brett Kavanaugh’s Prep School Party Scene Was A ‘Free-For-All’” and contained accounts of Evans and another friend, Douglas Kennedy, procured heroin for a party that led to the death of David Kennedy, Douglas’s brother.
The suit claims that HuffPost published the account without talking to Evans or Kennedy or doing “even the most basic research of publicly available sources,” which showed that Evans helped identify and prosecute those responsibly for David Kennedy’s death.
